I visit Spirit Voyage often, they are a great tool for Kundalini yoga, mantras, and lifestyle.
Here is the article and a link to it at Spirit Voyage:
Healing through yoga or an energy worker is for preventive maintenance. If you have a serious medical issue, please contact a doctor.
If you go to Kundalini Yoga classes regularly, you may often hear people speaking about healing. You also may know friends who see an energy healer regularly for a healing sessions and energy work. What exactly is healing and how does it work?
First off- if any yoga teacher, healer, psychic, or anyone of the sort guarantees that if you pay a certain amount of money and you will be healed, run as far away as possible! It isn’t that easy to pay an amount of money and all of your troubles would be gone. Life makes us take a little more responsibility than that.
Healing is not a quick fix, and any healing that is will do more harm than good. If a healer clears an issue that person’s system wasn’t ready to release, it creates internal chaos. An authentic healer knows that and doesn’t work to impress a patient with what they can uncover. They only work with what the patient is ready to release. We have a limit to what we are capable of digesting. Healing is a process and it takes time. Think about if you were to tear down a building, you don’t begin smashing the pillars inside because then everything will fall on you and it create a huge mess. One must start with the outside of the structure and work your way in.
Healing is more of a process of “folding edges”, which means it is about getting closer and closer inside. An authentic teacher or healer doesn’t give you the answers, but shows you how to get them for yourself. That is why Kundalini Yoga works. It is a natural process of learning to heal yourself through awareness. Yogi Bhajan taught the yogic technology and it is up to the student to initiative themselves. In Kundalini Yoga, there isn’t supposed to be a teacher or guru that keeps their students following a carrot on a stick.
Always remember that in life, we aren’t set up for failure. The universe will provide all the tools and resources needed to get through any block. We just need to stay conscious and observe.
Through our sadhana, there are moments where we become aware of something in our system and it is in that moment that we are healed. It doesn’t happen everyday, but even one day like this out of forty is worth it. It takes momentum to heal. Also it can take many small issues to come up to get to a big one, but once it is healed, you react to situations differently. You become a little more you. You are happier and a little more self empowered.
There are many great Kundalini yoga kriyas and meditations to work on healing yourself. A great start is the Sadhana Guidelines Manual.
Also, here are 3 Kundalini yoga mantras for healing. They work great to mentally chant while practicing your sadhana or when doing energy healing work on another:
Also known as the Siri Gairtri Mantra. This is the most popular healing mantra inKundalini Yoga. The mantra brings to balance the elements of our existence: sun, moon, earth and wind energies.
Snatam Kaur on Grace
Also known as the Guru Gaitri Mantra, which is the eight aspects of God. Yogi Bhajan recommended this mantra to energy healers. Guru Dev, the Master of Sat Nam Rasyan said, “This mantra balances healer’s mind, softens the resistances and has the power to transform his or her relationship with patients.”
Snatam Kaur on Prem
Sat Kartar on Listen
Aad Such is a mantra that Guru Nanak gave at the end of the Mul Mantra in the Japji Sahib. This version of the mantra says, “Habhee Such”, not “Habay Such”. Aad Such is another mantra that Guru Dev and Yogi Bhajan recommend for healing. It is centering and connects one with the infinite.
