Day 16 - from start over
Day 16 and going strong! While the other 10,000 or so around the world are prepping for their last two days -- I am on day 16. Thats ok though because I love this meditation. I feel like continuing it for a while, regardless of my day count. I hear the words throughout the day. I also played the beautiful meditation while sleeping last night.
How are you doing on your meditations? Are you not doing one and would like to challenge yourself to do a 40-day? I can help! Message me!
Many blessings,
sat nam,

Day 32: Spirit Voyage's 40 Day Global Sadhana (Release Fear)
Day 10
If you didn't have to start over like I did -- you only have 8 days left! Wahe guru!! I, however, am on this meditation for the long haul. I really like it and I want to see how long it continues like this. Today while chanting I felt overwhelmed with emotion. In releasing fear, I also release emotion. I don't like to cry really, so when I do, I feel it is a good experience for me. A growing experience.
Onward and upward!

Day 31: Spirit Voyage's 40 Day Global Sadhana (Release Fear)
Day 9 (from my start-over)
Still going strong! I love this meditation. It seems as though in releasing fear my thoughts turn more and more to love. I read a really great message today that someone posted on Facebook about being less judgmental in general. When we judge we are using less vibrational frequencies thus our effect on others becomes negative. When we lead by the example of our own awareness we raise not only our own frequency, but it will also effect everyone. Group consciousness. Mother Teresa said, "if you judge people you have no time to love them."
Practicing this meditation daily helps ME remember to love more and judge less. Releasing fear is also opening up for love.
Sat nam,
Happy Full Moon this evening!!! Proceed with caution and love.

Day 26: Spirit Voyage's 40 Day Global Sadhana (Release Fear)
Day 4
The mantra is "Adays Tisai Adays, Aad Aneel Anaad, Anaahat, Jug Jug Ayko Vays". Adaysmeans I bow, Tisai means again, so Adays Tisai Adays means I bow again and again to the Aad, the primal One, to the Aneel, the One without color, to the Anaad the One without Sound, to the Anaahat, the Unstruck Sound. Jug Jug Ayko Vays means throughout the Ages you are One in the Same.

Day 25 Spirit Voyage's 40 Day Global Sadhana (Release Fear)
Day 3
Sat nam on this lovely Thursday. I write this from a prayerful and calm place in my heart, my soul.
I truly can't put my thoughts into proper words today. I have done this write, read, delete repeat cycle for several minutes now. Nothing seems to explain the loving feeling created during meditation today. I can write these things in my heart without deleting. I am so grateful for this amazing science and knowledge we have for meditation. I am so grateful that I am able to kneel on my mat, stretch my arms out and up and under and around and do all the things that they do while practicing yoga and meditation. I am grateful for my numerous blessings that surround my life. And yes today I am even grateful, a little, for things like depression and sadness. Experiencing life, if even for a short time with these really puts amazing light and love on the opposite. Wahe guru!!! Onward and upward!!

Day 14: Spirit Voyage's 40 day Global Sadhana (Release Fear)
Day 14
The difficult part at this juncture is not doing the meditation, but remembering to write about it to share with everyone afterwards. My thoughts tend to carry me away after meditating. So here we are. Right in the middle of my session this morning these words popped into my head "What are you fearful of?"
This got me thinking -- what am I afraid of at this time in my life? I'm sure there is much to be afraid for. However, there is also much to celebrate and rejoice in. While I will ponder this question for the rest of today I challenge you to ask yourself the same thing.
Only once you know what you are afraid of, can you face those things with courage! Be not fearful! Doing this meditation will help us recognize, and face such things!

Day 9: Spirit Voyage's 40 Day Global Sadhana (Release Fear)
Day 9
Still going! I been a new kind of busy. Things stack up differently when new challenges pop up in life. Most importantly today, is the celebration of love!
Happy Valentine's Day! I like to approach this day with a full embrace of love. Release your fears of love and relationships. One of my most favorite quotes ever is by Rumi, “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

Day 4: 40-Day Global Sadhana Release Fear and Become a Conscious Leader
Day 4
How wondrous and great are the words that popped into my mind first as I placed my fingers on the keyboard to type this. The result of going full force yesterday is that my muscles are a bit achy toady. Nothing a little 'hair of the dog' can't solve. I just did a slightly lighter set. When I got to the meditation today I was ready to put mind over matter again. My focus during the chanting was to really concentrate on the words. To understand what they mean and to hear that each time I say them. The mantra is "Adays Tisai Adays, Aad Aneel Anaad, Anaahat, Jug Jug Ayko Vays". Adays means I bow, Tisai means again, so Adays Tisai Adays means I bow again and again to the Aad, the primal One, to the Aneel, the One without color, to the Anaad the One without Sound, to the Anaahat, the Unstruck Sound. Jug Jug Ayko Vays means throughout the Ages you are One in the Same.
I had a small discussion earlier today with a dear friend about prayer and meditation. Being a member of the LDS church, prayer has always been a huge part of my life. Prayer is encouraged as a daily and even moment-to-moment tool; An essential tool I would never want to be without. To keep it simple, the days that I don't keep that prayer in my heart are tough days indeed. Knowing the art of meditation only helps this entire process.
As I write this, I pray for inspiration that I may express myself well. If anyone doubts themselves about participating in yoga, or even a daily meditation I urge you to start small. Just start! Your experiences are waiting for you....

Day 3: 40-Day Global Sadhana Release Fear and Become a Conscious Leader
Day 3
Today was all about mind over matter for me. I somehow got a boost of great energy today and decided to ride the wave. Going into my practice I knew I had extra energy that I wanted to work out before I began meditating. So, I opened my book and did the first kriya (set) that my eyes fell upon. You would never guess this -- it was a set to do, and I quote, "...when you want to work very hard." Lots of Abdominal and leg work to get the energy from the lower chakras to the upper ones. Some considerable time was spent doing Breath of Fire. This is all building up to the meditation.
Well, I am happy to report that my plan worked. I exhausted my muscles and my mind during the "pre-yoga" so by the time I got to meditation my mind was ready and willing. I hear the words, I chant the words. When I was able to really get into it, all I could feel was the slight pain in my shoulders. My mind asks, "why must I feel this pain?" My yogic mind immediately hears one of my favorite teachers words,"The pain you feel is the pain of adjustment. Breathe through it." I breathe harder, I chant with certainty. I pronounce the words. Adjustment. I love adjusting my thought pattern. Smile and keep saying that mantra. I wasn't really concerned about looking at my clock until I really just wanted to make sure I had turned it on! 2:48 and counting. Smile and keep saying that mantra.

Day 2: 40-Day Global Sadhana Release Fear and Become a Conscious Leader
Day 2
Meditation is an interesting experience. Everyone has similar and different experiences. Depending on the timing in your life, your life experiences, your current stress level and many other factors can determine to which extent you are able to meditate. I would not describe my experience with meditation as "new", I would say I'm on an intermediate level. Not beginner, not yet a master.
I've had wonderful experiences while meditating. I also have close friends who boast of quite amazing things happening to their minds or bodies while meditating. Sometimes the energies align just perfectly. I tell you though, that just because I've completed my 200+ hours of yoga teacher training and have a certification does not automatically make meditating a 'magical mystery tour' every time I tune in. I'm still human. I still have to put my pants on one leg at a time. (SAD, but true). My long buildup here is leading me to say that day 2 of global sadhana was great, and I got through it. I did the full 31 minutes, although I really didn't think I would when I initially sat down.
There are times in meditating when I can align my thoughts, the mantra, and the focus so great. I feel happy to know that happens. Other times, admittedly, I fight the urge to watch the clock. Part of this experience in writing my happenings is to be completely honest with my audience (I sure I hope I have one) about my experiences in this particular meditation. Here is my honesty. I managed to resist the urge to look at the clock for a VERY LONG time-- or what seemed like a very long time. In actuality, it was about 24 minutes that I resisted the urge to check the timer. 6:42 and counting..... put the phone back to my side.... back to chanting. Although that last 6 minutes did fleet quickly, I was happy that it was only 6. I prefer not to play that game with the clock and my mind. It isn't fun and usually ends up feeling like torture when I look and then there are more than 10 minutes left. Then there are other days during a 31-minute meditation where it flies by Über fast and I think WOW its been 31 minutes! I really tried to feel the words and their meaning in order to stay focused. For me, that is the best way to stay focused during meditation. Accept your thoughts and let them go. Feel the words, hear every syllable, feel the truth. I may sound like a crazy yogi, but, this is my prescription for "Adult-onset A.D.D.-Mind" while meditating.
There are other factors to helping the mind focus of course --- some of which I have and do explore at times. Today, I have had NO caffeine. This really helps the meditating move long better. I'll explain the science of that at a later date. I have a class to teach tonight!! Hope to see you there!

40-Day Global Sadhana: Release Fear and Become a Conscious Leader
In our human state, we are more likely to try something new if we get an inside scoop of some sort. So, in my quest for more students, more understanding, more of the good things in life - I am going to share this part of my journey with you. Everyday.
Yogi Bhajan taught that it takes 40 days to break a habit, or make a new one. Jesus taught this as well, participating in his own 40-day meditations and fasts. I've done it before and I know, personally, that 40-days is a good start to a better life. Whether its to make or break habits, have a deeper consciousness, or a better understanding of yourself. Today is Day 1 of Spirit Voyage's 40-Day Global Sadhana to Release Fear and Become a Conscious Leader. Click on this link and it will re-direct you to the directions and information at Spirit Voyage.
This is the first time that I personally have done this meditation or even heard the mantra. My goal is to participate in this for the full 40 days. Today, I am grateful that I had the time and energy to do the meditation for the full 31 minutes. My first experience with this was great. The mantra was easy to learn and easy to remember.
